Ametisse Gover-Chamlou

Ametisse greets and welcomes all parts of you.
Ametisse sees therapy as a process of metabolizing life’s experiences to access the nourishment and meaning we long for. With gentle curiosity, Ametisse invites you to explore your inner world—because with curiosity comes greater intimacy, discernment, and self-trust. She believes your intuition is your truest guide, and that therapy can transform feelings of "stuckness" into your next steps forward.
As an Iranian American therapist, Ametisse is especially attuned to the complexities of cultural identity and belonging. She welcomes exploration of how culture, migration, family systems, and intergenerational dynamics shape who we are today.
Ametisse has trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. Her approach centers the body and emphasizes compassion toward all parts of the self. She has a special interest in helping clients explore generational influences—family stories, inherited beliefs, and legacy burdens—to understand how the past shapes the present, to release what no longer serves, and to rightfully claim the gifts that are yours to carry.
At its heart, Ametisse’s approach is about making space—for all parts of you, for inner connection, and for the creative energy that naturally emerges when we feel safe and integrated.
If you're longing to explore your inner landscape, resolve inherited patterns, and arrive at a deeper sense of wholeness, Ametisse invites you to connect.
