Becca is a Queer, liberation-oriented therapist who believes in the power of community in unlearning, healing, and growth. They graduated from Loyola University of Chicago with a Master’s degree in Social Work and have experience working in youth housing, LGBTQ+ drop-in centers, and outpatient mental health centers. She centers much of her practice on working with other queer individuals, focusing on identity exploration, sexuality, challenges in relationships, understanding and coping with trauma, body acceptance work, reducing internalized stigma and other mental health experiences. They are kink and poly-affirming, welcoming and celebrating relationships of all forms. Becca also has over 10 years experience supporting folks with accessing gender affirming hormone therapy and writing gender affirming surgery readiness letters.
Becca hopes to create an environment where we can reflect on the ways we have survived, especially through traumatic experiences, and how to shift patterns or build off of existing tools to serve us more fully in the present, often being curious with the ways cultural, environmental and systemic factors have impacted us. They practice from an anti-oppressive, strengths-based approach, and believe it is necessary for the therapeutic space to be collaborative. She strives to be authentic and empathetic, utilizing a direct, humorous and inviting approach.
In their free time, Becca enjoys spending time with her loved ones (including their numerous pets!), adding to her collections, discovering new music, playing games, trying new recipes, and gardening or being in nature.
