Chatham Kennedy, LMSW, is a dedicated therapist with experience, passion, and a desire to help others through difficult times. She brings enthusiasm, compassion, authenticity, creativity, and relatability to the therapeutic relationship. Chatham works with people who are recovering from broken homes and broken families, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, PTSD, marital counseling, and life adjustments. Her understanding within the world of children and adolescents helps her bridge the communication gap between parents and their kids. 

 

Chatham utilizes an evidence-based approach with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, and focuses on rewiring the brain after trauma. She also integrates a holistic model of treatment and uses creative expression in her healing work.

 

Chatham graduated with a minor in English and her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Mississippi State University. She received her Master’s in Social Work from The University of Alabama with a concentration in working with children, adolescents, and their families. Chatham holds a certificate in Trauma-Informed Child Advocacy.
